Report: FSU dismissed Conrad Hussey after fight with position coach

Safety Conrad Hussey is no longer on Florida State’s roster and was reportedly dismissed after a physical altercation with an assistant coach. After Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell confirmed Hussey was no longer with the team, CBS Sports reported that the junior won’t be allowed back because of an incident that occurred with a position coach during practice.”He’s been dismissed from the team,” Norvell said. “Obviously grateful for the time we’ve been able to be together. At the end of the day, it’s a decision that was made.”Cornerback Earl Little Jr. said at ACC Kickoff that culture has been a major theme on the defense and throughout the team, starting with Norvell, as Florida State prepares to begin the season on Aug. 30 against No. 8 Alabama in Tallahassee. The Seminoles were 2-10 in 2024.”Desperate to win, desperate to eat, just desperate to succeed, that’s all he harps on,” Little said last month. “We hit on that every day. You come here to be desperate and to succeed.”Norvell brought in two new coordinators — Gus Malzahn on offense, Tony White on defense — and took two steps back to allow the veteran assistants to make their own mark. Earlier this week, White said he is building trust with some players and felt others “showed out” but still didn’t have complete buy-in.
