Dean Kremer allowed one hit over six innings and Alan Roden went 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs as the Minnesota Twins earned a split of their four-game series with the Los Angeles Angels with an 8-0 victory on Sunday afternoon in Anaheim, Calif.
Josh Bell had three hits, a walk, two RBIs and a run while Brooks Lee also had three hits and scored three times for Minnesota (73-83), which finished with 13 hits.
Kremer (4-5) allowed just a fourth inning leadoff single to Vaughn Grissom on a soft line drive to right. He walked three, hit a batter and struck out eight, one off his season high.
Bailey Ober allowed one hit and struck out three over the final three innings to pick up his first major league save in his first career relief appearance.
Ryan Johnson (5-9) suffered the loss for Los Angeles (60-96), which finished the 2026 season with a 34-47 home record.
Minnesota parlayed four singles into a 2-0 lead in the third inning. Bell drove in rookie Walker Jenkins, who had nine hits in the series, with a bloop single down the left field line and Roden followed with a single to center to drive in Lee, who also had singled.
The Twins extended the lead to 3-0 in the fifth when Lee singled, advanced to second on a groundout and scored on a single by Bell, chasing Johnson.
Minnesota made it 5-0 in the sixth inning when Emmanuel Rodriguez doubled off the glove of Jose Siri at the fence in right-center and scored on Ben Ross’ single. Ross then stole second and came around to score when catcher Moises Ballesteros’ throw glanced off the glove of shortstop Zach Neto and rolled slowly into center field.
The Twins broke the game open in the seventh on Roden’s first homer of the season, a three-run shot into the right field bleachers, to make it 8-0.
