Positive tests shut down Iowa basketball

Iowa paused men’s basketball workouts for 14 days after two student-athletes tested positive for COVID-19.The Hawkeyes announced the decision Tuesday. As of Tuesday morning, the state of Iowa had 42,738 confirmed cases of the coronavirus.The university had reported on Monday that there was only one positive and 19 negative COVID-19 tests in the athletic department.The Big Ten is permitting basketball workouts on a voluntary basis.
