TGL will waste no time showcasing its brightest stars this coming season.
Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka are among the golfers set to compete in a season-opening doubleheader when the tech-infused indoor league begins on Dec. 27 at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
The first match of the 2027 season features McIlroy’s Boston Common Golf versus Koepka and the expansion Motor City Golf Club on ESPN. Woods and Jupiter Links Golf Club will then meet the defending champion Los Angeles Golf Club on ABC in a rematch of the 2026 finals. That L.A. victory stands as Woods’ most recent competitive golf appearance.
The full schedule for the seven-team league includes a total of 14 regular-season matches running through Feb. 23, plus a new play-in match to determine the fourth playoff team. Playoffs begin in March with a semifinal round and then a best-of-three finals for the SoFi Cup.
“The 2027 schedule is designed to bring TGL to more fans in more places,” TMRW Sports executive Rufus Hack said. “With three matches on ABC, a broader mix of weekend and daytime windows, and earlier primetime start times that work for younger and international audiences, we’re making it easier than ever to watch the world’s best players compete in our unique team format. We’re grateful to ESPN for continuing to invest in TGL and showcase the league across its platforms.”
The TGL, going head-to-head with NFL broadcasts, saw its ratings climb on opening day a season ago and will be going against the NFL again this year.
