Vegas jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period, scoring twice in the first 4:02. Andersson started the scoring 66 seconds into the contest when he ripped a wrist shot while cutting down the slot past Murashov’s glove side for his second goal of 2026-27.
Three minutes later, Hanifin followed with his second goal of the season, taking a crossing pass from Eichel in the left circle and then firing a wrist shot into the bottom left corner.
Stone extended the lead to 3-0 at the 17:46 mark with a power-play goal, redirecting a Connelly shot on the backdoor by the left post that caromed in off his skate for his team-leading seventh goal.
Pittsburgh, playing the second game of a back-to-back that began with a 5-2 loss at Colorado on Friday, cut the lead to 3-1 early in the second. Crosby, stationed by the right post on the power play, redirected Novak’s shot past Hill for his third goal.
The Golden Knights responded with two goals in just over four minutes to extend the lead to 5-1. Connelly got the first, intercepting a Crosby pass near the blue line and then rushing down the left wing and snapping a wrist shot past Murashov glove-side. Theodore followed with his second goal this season on a slap shot from the right circle.
Malkin made it 5-2 early in the third when he jammed in a rebound for his team-leading fifth goal this season.
Howden finished the scoring with 2:13 remaining when he was awarded a goal after getting dragged down by Kris Letang while skating toward an empty net.
