It appears long-suffering New York Knicks fans are saving their wallets for a potential clinching game in the NBA Finals.
With the Knicks up 2-0 and the NBA Finals coming to Madison Square Garden on Monday night for the first time in 27 years, the get-in price for tickets to Game 3 has dropped to $4,711. While that’s still far more expensive than this year’s Super Bowl, it does represent a 49% drop over the past three days, according to ticket tracking service TicketData.
Ahead of Game 2 in San Antonio on Friday night, the get-in price for the Monday night game had soared above $9,000. The Knicks then survived a furious Spurs rally and put a stranglehold on the series by winning the first two games on the road.
Should New York win on Monday, it would set up a potential series sweep for the Knicks’ first NBA title in 52 years. The get-in price for Game 4 has risen 7% to $8,600 over the past three days.
In fact, the remainder of the series after Game 3 has seen each game rise, including two potential games in San Antonio. Should the Spurs win the next three games and force the series back to New York for Game 6, the get-in price has surged to $10,895.

For comparison, the past two Super Bowls had day-of-game get-in prices of $2,002 in 2025 and $3,251 this year. The average Super Bowl get-in price since the end of the Covid-19 pandemic has been $3,914, according to TicketData.
The company said the Knicks’ focus on making sure their season-ticket holders are fans and not professional resellers has contributed to the limited supply on the secondary market. There also is wide appeal for the matchup against the Spurs and rising superstar Victor Wembanyama.
Outside of the World Cup and the Stanley Cup Final, the next-most expensive sporting event through the end of the year currently is UFC 329. The card featuring the return of Conor McGregor against Max Holloway currently has a get-in price of $1,367 and is set for July 11 in Las Vegas.
The Knicks opened the series as significant underdogs, but flipped to -140 favorites at BetMGM following their Game 1 victory. Now up 2-0 and returning home, New York is a heavy -500 favorite to win the series.
With President Donald Trump planning to attend Game 3, the New York Police Department announced there will be no watch party fans outside of Madison Square Garden due to security concerns. Crowds gathering outside of MSG to watch the game on a large screen has become a growing event during the Knicks’ 13-game postseason win streak.
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced Monday that Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan will host a Knicks watch party for Game 3. The park is about a 15-minute walk from the arena.
