The Los Angeles Rams waived kicker Joshua Karty on Friday.
Karty, who appeared in all 17 regular-season games last season, was replaced by Harrison Mevis after the eighth game of the 2025 campaign. Karty, 23, had missed five of his 15 field goal attempts and three of his 26 extra point tries to that point.
Last season, he hit 85.3% of his field goal attempts (29 of 34) with a long of 58. He also made 32 of 36 extra points.
The Rams selected Karty in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Stanford.
Mevis, 23, was an All-America at Missouri and has spent time with the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets but did not appear in an NFL game until Nov. 9. In the UFL last season, Mevis was 20 of 21 on field goal attempts for the Birmingham Stallions.
